- It is uncertain whether the designation ⳟⲥ̄ⲥⲛ̄ⳟⲁⲛ ⲧⲟⲧⲗ̄ represents a title ('tot of Ngissinngal'; thus Browne), Ngissinngal being a place-name, or a filiation ('son of Ngissinngal'). The latter interpretation seems more probable, as Ngissinngal is securely attested as an anthroponym (Refs 702800 & 703427) and unattested as a toponym. Cf. an analogous situation with Irtanngal in Ref 703494.
