Plumley's reading from an unpublished handout with transcription and translation of the document is not satisfactory: there are no other attestations of such a proper name and from the phonological point of view the consonantal cluster /mpr/ seems unlikely in any Nubian name. The tracing of the text is inaccurate and does not allow the secure transcription, but it cannot be excluded that the actual reading should be ⲕⲟⲩⲇⲓⲛⲡⲉⲥ or the like. In Georgios's filiation, the name of the father is not mentioned, only his title 'eparch of Nobadia'. Since Koudimpr. was the eparch of Noabdia at the time of composing the document, he must have been Georgios's father.
