Comment
It is uncertain whether ⲡⲁⲡⲁⲥⲛ̄ designates here the proper name Papasi (thus Browne and Wojciechowski, who even assumes that Papasi is a woman) or the office 'bishop'. The latter meaning seems a little more proable here on the account of the occurrence of the same word in the previous entry, where we find, most proably, one Medjou, 'meske' of the bishop (REF 701229). If such an assumption is probable, Ionngoka would be another woman fathered by a bishop in Nubia; the other ones being Papsine a.k.a. Doulista (Refs 701308 & 702792) and Iesousiko (Ref 703138). Cf. Refs 701229 and 701186.
