The phrase ̣ ̣ⲙⲉⲛ ⲧⲟⲧⲗ̄ could theoretically express the filiation, thus 'son of ..me', but, if it were the case, it would have stood between the name and the title of Mathetes, according to the rules of presentation in Nubian sources. Here, however, it stands after ⲥⲟⲣ⸌ⲧ⸍, 'priest', and hence shuold designate Mathetes's another function.
